Welcome to the 1st Annual Alma Cares Event!

Thank you Welcome to the 1st Annual Alma Cares Event!u for joining us as we launch Alma Cares, Alma College Square Apartments' annual community giving initiative dedicated to supporting local charities and strengthening the community we call home.

Each year, Alma Cares will feature a community event that brings residents, families, friends and neighbours together in support of a meaningful local cause.

For our inaugural event, we are proud to present Alma Walks, a community fundraising walk benefiting the Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin.

On Saturday, September 12, 2026, participants will come together to walk in support of the Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin while celebrating community and raising awareness and funds for an organization that provides compassionate care to individuals and families throughout Elgin County.

Following the walk, participants are invited to gather at Pinafore Park for light refreshments & lunch as we celebrate our collective efforts, recognize the impact of our fundraising and enjoy time together as a community.  

We are excited to begin what we hope will become a cherished annual tradition of giving back. Thank you for being part of the very first Alma Cares event and for helping us make a positive difference in our community.

Fundraising Information

There is no minimum fundraising requirement to participate. Whether you choose to raise funds, make a personal donation, or simply join us for the walk, your participation is greatly appreciated.
